Macklemore X Ryanlewis feat. Fences - Otherside

One of my favorite music videos to date. I love the curation of the colors and the themes. The water theme is very apparent and ties into the idea of staying afloat, doing what you have just to maintain, to gain traction, movement. Also the idea of substances is something that resonates with me. I stay clean. One reason is so that I am more productive to accomplish my goals. However through media I believe that society has the idea that creativity and substance abuse go hand in hand. I believe that there are some artists that are able to handle substances and are successful at their craft. However I think for the majority of the population substances inhibit you. They steal money, and precious time. In the game of creativity I believe you have to give yourself a fighting chance with the best odds. I believe that substances decrease your chances.
